I love a good cover song. Some of the best known songs are actually cover songs: Jimi Hendrix covering Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower", Aretha Franklin covering Otis Redding's "Respect" or Soft Cell's cover of the Gloria Jones song "Tainted Love". There have been some truly terrible covers (example: Eric Clapton's cover of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door") but for the most part, covers are a fun way to pay homage/breathe new life into a piece of music. The hypothetical here is that the singer/group does an entire album of handpicked covers.
